This virtual class describes the BMM requirements, assessment methodology, adoption, and general news and information about the adoption of blockchain and the methods of assuring accountability, and confidence when acquiring blockchain systems.
This course occurs on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 12:00 PM (New York).
Blockchain Foundations
The purpose of this course is to provide students with a fundamental understanding of the technology and potential use cases. This course includes the following topics:
- Introduce the history of bitcoin and blockchain technology.
- Discuss why cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies are important. Provide a basic understanding of cryptocurrencies.
- Provide a basic understanding of blockchain technology.
- Introduce legal and regulatory considerations. Discuss blockchain use cases, benefits, and risks. Completion of this course results in formal certification. GBA members are listed in the GBA Directory of Certified Consultants.

BMM Functional Levels
The course describes how each of the core elements is assessed and evaluated at the functional levels. They are:

The course also describes how Domain-Specific Requirements are used in the model.
